Fila 911 Rescue and Rehab: A Lifeline for Brazilian Mastiffs
Fila 911 Rescue and Rehab is the sole rescue in the United States for the Fila Brasileiro, also known as the Brazilian Mastiff. The mission is to ensure that these dogs, often misunderstood, receive the same chance at a loving home as any other breed when in need.
These animals are rescued from various situations. They often come from shelters. Many are surrendered by owners who can no longer provide care or have passed away. Finding the perfect home for a Fila can be difficult. While some rescues find a permanent sanctuary, most await their forever families.
If you are ready to open your heart and home to a Fila, distance should not be a barrier. Adoptions and fostering have been facilitated across the country because finding the right match is the ultimate reward. The primary goal is not adoption fees. It is connecting Fila's with experienced owners, or those willing to learn and embrace the breeds unique needs.
Fila 911 Rescue and Rehab is a 501c3 non-profit organization. We are powered by dedicated volunteers who rehabilitate and nurture the rescues. This offers them a second chance at a fulfilling life. The organization is entirely supported by donations, with veterinary care and boarding as the most significant expenses. Therefore, qualified foster homes are constantly sought to help more Fila's in need.

It is believed every Fila deserves a life filled with love and dignity.
We are committed to the protection and well-being of homeless or unwanted Fila Brasileiro's.
Our heartfelt mission is to advocate for and protect Fila's facing homelessness or abandonment. The mission achieves this by providing comprehensive care, including assessment, nurturing, medical treatment, and rehabilitation, and by tirelessly working to find them safe, permanent, and loving homes.
